What is GAINSWave therapy?

GAINSWave Therapy for ED  is a safe, comfortable and proven procedure for men to optimize sexual performance and to reverse the effects of Erectile Dysfunction (ED) due to poor blood flow.

What is GAINSWave?

GAINSWave is the premium brand of shockwave therapy used to treat erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease and optimize sexual performance. This treatment is performed by a network of highly-trained medical providers across the country. GAINSWave is an effective option because it addresses the root cause of many penile issues, such as poor blood flow. Treatment is all-natural, non-invasive, and yields long-term patient results

80% of men with ED who have received GAINSWave Therapy noticed sexual improvement and stopped taking oral ED drugs.

How does it work?

Sexual dysfunction, including ED, and Peyronie’s is most often caused by blood flow issues. So how does it work? GAINSWave generates electromagnetic propulsions that:

  • > Target existing blockages in blood vessels and breaks them up

    > Maximize blood flow in surrounding vessels

  • > Encourage an inflammatory response that leads to the growth of new blood vessels and nerves

  • > Promote tissue regeneration on a cellular level

Over time, men’s blood flow decreases, sensitivity isn’t as strong, and blood vessels become thin. Through the use of shockwave therapy, high frequency low-intensity shockwaves rejuvenate the aged area. Micro-plaque is removed, blood flow increases, and new blood vessels develop.

GAINSWave therapy treats the root cause of erectile dysfunction by addressing poor blood flow. Through the use of shockwave therapy micro-plaque is dissolved, new blood vessels develop, and growth factors are stimulated. These improvements to the penis result in harder, more sustainable erections

GAINSWave FAQ

  • GainsWave is a treatment that uses sound waves in a high frequency delivery with low intensity energy to the penis/vagina; often referred to as Low-Intensity Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, or LI-ESWT. This non-invasive treatment will break up micro-plaque buildup in veins, promoting increased blood flow to the tissues and stimulating new vessel growth. Known causes of sexual dysfunction evolve from insufficient blood flow to the genital tissues.

By treating the tissue with radiofrequency sound waves, dormant cells are activated leading to new tissue and blood vessel growth, thus, improving blood flow. In addition to blood flow, this process will also promote new nerve growth in the tissues surrounding the genitals in a process called neurogenesis. The result is increased sensitivity and natural lubrication for women and harder, stronger and sustained erections in men. Both genders can experience more intense orgasms and a higher sense of satisfaction with their partners.

  • No. This is a non-invasive procedure with no down time. The shockwave therapy will use your body’s resources to correct and heal the treated areas.

  • This treatment has benefits for every age range! Not only can it help your body to repair damage, but it is used as a preventative measure to promote healthy blood flow to the tissue treated.

  • Many patients will notice immediate benefits. Long term benefits will be seen as the body remodels and blood flow improves.

  • There are no negative side effects.

  • For men, specifically, penile implants patients should not receive shockwave therapy. For men and women, active genital cancer or any skin conditions that you don’t want to promote growth (skin cancer, lichen form, warts) should not receive shockwave therapy.

  • This procedure is not painful and requires no down time. Topical numbing cream is available to mitigate any discomfort associated with the procedure, but is not needed for most patients.

  • There is no down time

  • Increase in blood flow can cause changes in the firmness of an erection. This can cause the impression that the size of the penis is larger.

  • Yes. The US Food and Drug Administration has cleared the Shockwave intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) system for the treatment of severely calcified coronary artery plaques as of February 2021. We use the only device that has been FDA approved for ESWT for erectile dysfunction.

  • The cause of ED can be multifaceted. Physical causes can include: high blood pressure, diabetes, neuropathy, high cholesterol, heart disease, obesity, metabolic syndrome, Parkingson’s Disease, prescription medications, tobacco use, alcohol and other drug use, Peyronie’s disease, sleeping disorders, treatment for enlarged prostate or prostate cancer, low testosterone, and/or surgeries to the pelvic region. This list is not all inclusive, but encompasses the most common causes.

  • Weight loss, dietary changes, and exercise. If you smoke, you should quit. Drug and alcohol use can also inhibit progress with your treatments.

  • Foods that are high in nitrates will promote vasodilation. We recommend taking a nitric oxide supplement with your treatments for the best results. Any anti-inflammatory supplement will also help your progress.

  • The treatment itself will take 10-15 minutes. Plan for an extra 10-15 minutes if you would like to use a topical analgesic.

  • The results do not “wear off”; however, the human body is constantly changing and a normal aging process will occur. This can have an effect on the results over time if maintenance treatments are not occurring.

  • For men, we will recommend treatments based on your intake questionnaire. Most men, and women, will need 6 treatments (one weekly for 6 weeks). For severe ED or Peyronie’s, the recommended number therapy is 12 weekly treatments.

These sessions can be spaced out for scheduling purposes, but we do not recommend deviating from the weekly schedule; the known positive outcomes from treatment success have only been studied and proven effective using this frequency. You can have more than one treatment in a week if desired; however, we still recommend completing a 6 week course of treatment to achieve the best desired outcome.

  • No, this treatment can be utilized for prevention as well as to promote sensitivity for men and women.

  • For mild to moderate ED, medications such as Cialis and Viagra may not be necessary. Continued use for moderate to severe is still recommended to achieve the highest satisfaction in an intimate encounter.
